Apprentices participate in our intensive 3 week program that consists of a half day training in the SCJC MAP Program and a half day learning Soft / Life Skills. The Soft / Life Skills classes are taught by our certified CBT Coaches.
Our SCJC MAP licensed trainers hold a minimum of 5 years experience in the manufacturing industry and are certified by THE SCJC MAP to teach the SCJC MAP Programs.
ON THE JOB & CLASSROOM TRAINING
In week 4, apprentices are placed with manufacturer employer partners and begin paid on the job training at a discounted rate of just $10 per hour. During weeks 4-24 apprentices spend 4 days a week with employers for on the job training and 1 day a week in the classroom to continue manufacturing knowledge and soft / life skills training. Our coaches work and communicate with employers, associates, supervisors and team leaders to ensure all participants complete the tasks, assignments and assessments in conjunction with employer’s day to day business / projects. This allows us to qualify and certify participants accordingly.
Upon successful completion of course work, exams, soft / life skills training and on the job training with employers after 16-24 weeks, pre-apprentices will graduate with certifications that are nationally recognized by the Department of Labor and SCJC. They are now certified with foundational skills and eligible to work as qualified workers in the manufacturing industry.

This is an excellent choice for employers who would like to continue training, education, qualification and career advancement of their pre-apprentices into a nationally certified and recognized full apprenticeship program which results in your apprentice receiving full credentials in their chosen trade.

Employers have the option to hire pre-apprentices Full Time after graduation of our SCJC MAP Program.
CHOOSE TO RELEASE YOUR PRE-APPRENTICE TO OUR POOL OF CERTIFIED PRE-APPRENTICES
You may no longer need the extra help for a project or contract. In these cases we will place certified pre-apprentices into full apprenticeships with other employer partners or have them readily available for the demand of future employer contracts / projects.
